Panchalingeswar Panthanivas OTDC

On 27/09/20 after finishing the Bike Rally on World Tourism Day 2020, our riders group, The HOG - Kalinga Chapter headed for Panchalingeswar Panthanivas, Balasore to explore Odisha by road and enjoy our sponsored night stay. We left at 11.00 am and reached by 2:00 am covering a journey of around 200 Kms.

The Road Highways of Odisha are well built for a safe journey. At some stretches, construction was going on for expansion and a few diversions were there on the to-route, but most of the route was good. While returning the route was even better. After reaching our destination,  we checked in our respective rooms, freshened up and went to enjoy our lunch.  The staff at the OTDC panthanivas was hospitable and served us well. The location of the resort was picture-perfect. The panthanivas was located right in the lap of the beautiful mountains.

After lunch, I went to my room and crashed for a much needed rest. The lovely weather made my stay even better.

The doors of the famous temple at the place were closed due the pandemic situation.

In the evening we had tea and snacks and gathered around for sharing our experiences - new and old.

There were a few hiccups with the electric current at the hotel stay, but all-in-all it was a good experience.

Getting done with my dinner early, I went to my bed preparing for a morning ride back home.

I would highly recommend everyone to enjoy the food and stay at Panchalingeswar Panthanivas, Nilgiri, Balasore.

Rule No.1 in handling most stressful situations is "DO NOT PANIC". The clarity in thought must be there and all steps must be taken consciously after much forethought.       Lets look at the facts straight, shall we? The overall mortality from the Infection is less than 2% (Total Cases Worldwide - 30.5 Crores, Deaths - 54.8 Lakhs) . The worst thing the Infection can do is kill us. Loss of every life is painful - both for the healthcare professional as well as for the near and dear ones. No doubt the measures to contain the spread should be there, but if we accept this mortality rate and get on wi

Farming - One Skill Everyone Should Learn

Farming or creating consumable vegetation is such an important but highly neglected skill. Mankind is highly dependent on a regular produce and supply of agricultural products. Humanity can do away with many other things but not food. In the time of COVID pandemic when only essential services were running, we realized the importance of regular supply of food and groceries.  Even with so much dependence on this sector, it remains one of the most neglected in the society. Farming should be a skill which everyone should be well versed with. It should be part of the practical classes of basic education. Everyone should be encouraged to grow one or more crops on whatever cultivable area they can use. In India, the income from agriculture is non-taxable. Inspite of that very few foray into this sector. People from traditional farming families in the villages hunt for miniscule jobs in the cities and move to the city suburbs. The lack of facilities and support to encourage farming
