  #OdishaTourism, #OdishaByRoad, #KalingaRides, #SecretsAtEveryCorner   Panchalingeswar Panthanivas OTDC   On 27/09/20 after finishing the Bike Rally on World Tourism Day 2020, our riders group, The HOG - Kalinga Chapter headed for Panchalingeswar Panthanivas, Balasore to explore Odisha by road and enjoy our sponsored night stay. We left at 11.00 am and reached by 2:00 am covering a journey of around 200 Kms.   The Road Highways of Odisha are well built for a safe journey. At some stretches, construction was going on for expansion and a few diversions were there on the to-route, but most of the route was good. While returning the route was even better. After reaching our destination,  we checked in our respective rooms, freshened up and went to enjoy our lunch.  The staff at the OTDC panthanivas was hospitable and served us well. The rally had around 80 superbikes from different biker groups.  I participated with the HOG- Kalinga Chapter (#kalingachapter) with 36 other members.   The rally route was from Infocity Square to Dhauli Stupa (via Jaydev Vihar- Governor House-Kalpana Square). All of us assembled at 6:45 am at the Infocity square and had snacks & beverages before starting the ride.   The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Language for Odisha Govt. was the Chief Guest for the function and he flagged off the rally at 7:30 am.  All the riders drove off in staggered formation and the Odisha Police guided and made way on the route for a safe rally to Dhauli Stupa.                A less explored place in eastern India is the capital city of Bhubaneswar. People mainly throng Odisha to visit Jagannath Temple in Puri. But apart from the temple, there are many things to explore in the state of Odisha.             Bhubaneswar now is directly connected from flights by Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Vizag. A weekend trip can be made for a quick getaway to this best kept secret of India (Odisha). Day 1 - Bhubaneswar & Around            After landing in the city, a visit can be made to Dhauli Temple (Buddha Stupa) which is 20-25 kms from the city. This place also has a light and sound show in the evening. The other place that can be covered after that is the ancient Lingaraj Temple which is located in the city itself.  The wildlife lovers can opt for Nandan Kanan Zoological Park (Day hours) which is one of the largest national parks.
